As the final days on campus are approaching at the University of Dayton, and with exam week coming up the flyers have a busy schedule for the next week. But once that last exam hits the long year for the Women's basketball team is finally coming to and end. At that time the women are allowed to go back home and enjoy some time to relax and see some of their family for a couple of weeks. After that the girls have to report back on May 13th before summer session starts back up to get acclimated back and having a meeting with the team before the summer term begins. Once term hits the Women's team has a pretty busy schedule balancing school and workouts. The team has voluntary shooting practice 3 days a weeks and can have more if they choose so. After talking with the assistant coach Simon Harris he said the shooting practice aren't mandatory but all girls are locked in and dedicated and have been coming all 3 days if not more to get better. These shooting practices began early spring and will go through the whole summer. Also the women will having condition and weights throughout the week with their cardio coach to keep them in shape for the upcoming season. As well with meeting with their cardio coach they also have taken upon themselves to do a lot of conditioning outside of those practices to make sure they are in the best shape they can be. Simon also said they have skills practice that are different for every girl, whatever each girl needs or wants to work on they have their own skills workout thats different from the other girls with one of the coaches. This helps each player grow their game individually.
